What is an e- assessment?
An e-assessment is a psychological examination and consists of online tests. With an e-assessment you gain more insight into your qualities and possibilities and you can show the best of yourself to your (potential) employer.
Why do I have to do it?
Your (potential) employer can have various reasons for taking an e-assessment:
- Determine if you are suitable for a particular position. The e-assessment is then part of the selection procedure.
- Looking at what you are good at and in which areas you can still develop.
- Gain insights into who you are, what you want and what you can do. Based on this, you will receive advice on suitable career steps.
What does it consist of:
An e-assessment usually consists of a personality test and / or a capacity test and / or a career test. Usually the different tools are used together in order to provide a complete picture of the candidate.
What is an ability test?
Ability tests or intelligence tests are often used during an e-assessment. These tests measure logical thinking, linguistic aptitude and numerical aptitude. Research has shown that ability tests are a good predictor of a person's performance in a job (work behavior).
What if I do not have enough time during an ability test?
Ability tests are time-bound and must therefore be completed in one go. These tests are designed in such a way that almost no one can complete all questions in time. So it's not always a bad sign if you haven't answered all the questions. The time you have left is always clearly visible in a time bar and clock. You can skip difficult questions, you can answer these later. We advise you to avoid guessing.
What is a personality test?
A personality test has no right or wrong answers. A personality test will give you an impression of your preferences and your personality. A personality test, such as The Bridge Personality, is based on the Big Five. This theory gives five dimensions with which the personality of persons can be described: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and emotional stability.
What is a career test?
A career test helps the candidate to make a choice for a suitable profession. This is measured on the basis of professional activities that someone likes (or seems) to do. With a career test you can discover for yourself whether you are in the right workplace and if not, what you can do about it. A career test, such as The Bridge Career, is based on the RIASEC codes of Holland and the career anchors of Schein. With this test you will gain insight into your career preferences and career anchors.
